The Maya Mountains ( Montes Maya Spanish ) are a mountain range in Belize, extending to eastern Guatemala.

The mountain range begins around 50 kilometers southwest of Belize City Cayo District. The highest elevation in the Maya Mountains is the 1124 meter high Doyle 's Delight. In the mountains there are frequent rainfall, which can arise from a variety of streams. These feed the Macal River and the Mopan River, which flow into another episode in the Belize River. The mountain range at the same time forms the watershed between central and southern Belize.

The Maya Mountains and their foothills were already inhabited by about 1200 BC by the Maya and archaeological significance accommodate Mayan ruins such as Caracol.

In the Maya Mountains are several natural parks such as the Blue Hole National Park ( not to be confused with the Great Blue Hole also in Belize), the Chiquibul National Park, Cockscomb Wildlife Sanctuary and Jaguar Reserve, the Five Blues Lake National Park, the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve or the Colombia Forest Reserve.
