Mayenne, Mayenne
Mayenne is a French town with 13,226 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Mayenne in the Pays de la Loire.
Geography
Mayenne Mayenne is on the river, hence the name.
Scenery
- Castle of Mayenne. The castle has five towers and dates from the 13th century. In the 19th century it served as a prison.
- Notre Dame Church. Built around 1100, with arches and pillars dating from the 12th century.
- Saint-Martin church in Romanesque style.
