Mayenne (river)

The Mayenne is a river in France, which runs into the regions of Lower Normandy and Pays de la Loire. It rises in the municipality of Lalacelle. After a length of 202 kilometers, it forms just before Angers, together with the Sarthe, Maine, which flows into the Loire after a few kilometers.

The Mayenne is navigable from the mouth to above Mayenne. Of the tributaries and the Oudon can be driven to Segre. Freight transport has no more importance, however popular the route is still used for river tourism with sports and houseboats.
