Mazda 757

The Mazda 757 was a race car prototype which was built for Mazdaspeed for use in the 24 -hour Le Mans race in the IMSA GTP class. It replaced the earlier series of Group C2 cars that ended with the 737c, and had the first truck that was completely designed by Nigel Stroud and built by Mazdaspeed. The 757 had a new 3- rotor Wankel engine, Mazda Type 13G.

Two 757 in 1986 operated in 24 - hour race at Le Mans, but fell due to gearbox problems from. This was the first time that no carriage of Mazdaspeed managed to finish the race at Le Mans. In the All Japan Sports Prototype Championship Mazda this time was third in the constructors' championship.

1987 were in the 24- hour race at Le Mans again two 757 reported; a finished 7th in the overall standings, the other was due to engine damage from. Because of the good results in the World Sportscar Championship and the All Japan Sports Prototype associated Championship in Fuji Mazdaspeed was able to win the 10th place in the World Cup team and the 3rd place in the constructors' championship - JSPC this year.

1988 was still a single 757 reported together with the two newer 767 for the 24- hour race at Le Mans and held up better than the two 767s with the 15th place in the overall classification
