The Mazda CX -5 is a car model of the Japanese car manufacturer Mazda. It is a mid-size sport utility vehicle that was introduced in September 2011 in Frankfurt at the IAA for the first time. It is the first Mazda model in the new KODO design.

A gasoline engine with 165 hp at the front and 160 hp at wheel drive and two diesel engines with 150 and 175 PS are available in three trim levels (Prime -Line, Center Line and Sports-Line ) to choose from. The gasoline engine has a maximum torque of 210/208 Nm ( Front-/Allradantrieb ) at 4000 rpm, the 150 PS diesel there are 380 Nm in the range of 1800 to 2600 rpm, the 175 PS diesel brings it to 420 Nm at 2000 / min.

In the European development and design center in Oberursel, the CX -5 has received its finishing touches on engines and chassis tuning.

On 28 April 2012, the CX -5 was officially introduced in Germany.

Construction is the CX-5 in the Mazda plant in Ujina (district of Hiroshima ).
