Mazda Sentia

The Mazda Sentia was a luxurious car of the upper middle class, the Mazda in Japan by the end of 1991 until the fall of 1999 as the successor of Mazda 929 built. It was based on the Mazda H platform.

The Sentia has been developed for the purposes of the planned Mazda flagship, the Amati 1000. It was assumed that the Amati will assume the role of the luxury sedan (eg chauffeur vehicles) in the product range and developed the first Sentia more for private customers, recognizable by its Jaguar same appearance, its relatively low roofline and the fact that at the construction of more on the outward appearance than on the magnification of the interior value laid. In some markets, the Sentia was marketed as the Mazda 929.

The Sentia was touted by Mazda as " front mid- engine car," because the V6 engine is located behind the front axle and the fuel tank above the rear axle. In this embodiment, the first Mazda Sentia also had new speed-dependent wheel steering. At speeds below 35 km / h, the rear wheels steered in the opposite direction to the front wheels in order to reduce the turning circle. At higher speeds, the rear wheels are steered in the same direction as the front wheels in order to improve the driving stability.

The solar ventilation system is a device that deliver in amorphous solar cells in the sunroof electric energy for fans in the boot which cool the interior when the car is parked in the sun. This system was later found also at Eunos 800 / Millenia.

There were two engines to choose from. Both were developed from previous Mazda V6 engine and do not correspond to the aluminum -KL- series, which was used in the 626 and Xedos 6.

The Sentia 1995 was based on the revised Mazda HE platform and was the last major Mazda sedan with right-hand drive.

Kia Enterprise (1997-2002)

As of 1997, the second generation of the Sentia by Kia Motors under license was produced as Kia Enterprise. When driving the Mazda 2.5 -liter V6 came the first generation of Sentia, the 3.0 -liter V6 with 200 hp and a second-generation Hyundai 3.6 -liter V6 petrol engine used.

In early 2003, the model was replaced by the Kia Opirus.
