Mbalmayo
Province
Mbalmayo is a city in Cameroon in the Centre region. It is the capital of the district Nyong -et- So'o. It lies about 40 kilometers south of Cameroon's capital Yaounde on the N2 highway and the river Nyong.
History
The city was founded in 1910 during the German occupation.
Economy
Agriculture and forestry are the main sources of income.
Religion
The city is since 1961 the seat of the diocese of Mbalmayo.
