mBank

MBank S. A. ( by November 2013, BRE Bank) is a listed Polish bank with headquarters in Warsaw. It was founded in 1986 as a state-owned bank Rozwoju Eksportu for the financing of Polish exports. She was the first privatized Polish bank ( IPO 1992).

Background

The company is listed on the stock market index WIG 20 of the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The end of 2008, the bank had total assets of 72.355 billion zloty ( € 17.43 billion ), the profit amounted to 829 million zloty ( € 199.76 million ). The Company has a signed share capital of 123 763 528 zloty. MBank is a subsidiary of the Commerzbank Group and consolidated as part of Commerzbank in the consolidated report of Commerzbank. About 70 percent of the shares are owned by foreign banks Commerzbank Holding, the remainder is in free float.

Until the change of name of the Company in November 2013, the " mBank " was a trademark for an online bank BRE Bank since 2000.
