Reviews

The web pages are tested by SiteAdvisor automatically with Microsoft's Internet Explorer COM objects. These are "loaded" Python in a virtual machine. You will see a classification for each website visited:

  • Green - Safe: The site has been tested and found to be no serious problems.
  • Yellow - Caution: The test has shown some results that might be of concern to the user, for example, the Web site has been trying to change the browser's preferences or sent an amount not recognized as spam.
  • Red - Warning: The test has detected some serious problems: for example, this page has the testers sent some spam e- mails or adware bundled with a download.
  • Grey - This page has not been tested or is in the process of testing.

In addition, the McAfee SECURE symbol is awarded to websites that have a special examination by the manufacturer subjected to and controlled every day.
