McKean County, Pennsylvania
McKean County is a county located in the state of Pennsylvania in the United States. In the 2000 census, the county had 45 936 inhabitants and a population density of 18 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Smethport.
History
Adams County was formed on March 26, 1804 Lycoming County and named after Governor Thomas McKean.
Geography
The county has an area of 2,549 square kilometers, of which 7 square kilometers is water area.
