McKinley County is a county located in the U.S. state of New Mexico in the United States. Here live 71 492 inhabitants. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Gallup.

Geography

The County is located in the northwest of the state and is bordered to the west by Arizona. It has an area of ​​14,129 square kilometers; of which 17 square kilometers (0.12 percent) of water. The county borders in New Mexico in a clockwise direction to the counties: San Juan County, Sandoval County, Cibola County and Apache County.
