McWilliams Arroyo

McWilliams Arroyo ( born December 5, 1985) is a Puerto Rican boxer. He was 2009 World Champion Amateur Flyweight.

Career

McWilliams Arroyo Azevedo grew along with his twin brother McJoe Arroyo Acevedo in Luquillo and Fajardo in the north of Puerto Rico. At the age of 12 years, the two brothers began with the boxes. They developed it over the years to top boxers in Puerto Rico and both started in 2003, also an international career. Both are 1.63 meters tall. McWilliams Arroyo celebrated its first success at the Pan American Championships 2005 in Teresepolis / Brazil, where he finished in the paper weight with a points victory over Deibi Mota from the Dominican Republic and one defeat against Olympic champion Yan BARTHELEMI from Cuba to 2nd place. In the year 2006 he created a minor sensation when he won at the Central American & Caribbean Games in Cartagena paper weight against Yan BARTHELEMI ( 14:11 ) and won the tournament.

At the Pan American Games in 2007 in Rio de Janeiro, he started at flyweight.
