Geography

History

The county of Mecklenburg -Strelitz was formed in 1994 as part of a territorial reform of the federal state of Mecklenburg- Vorpommern by merging the districts of Neubrandenburg ( NB), Neustrelitz (NZ ) and the greater part of the district of Strasburg (SBG ). He now manages the name and first used the emblem of the historical territory of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, which existed from 1701 to 1918 as a (partial) Duchy of Mecklenburg State, from 1919 to 1933 as the Free State.
