Media Factory

Media Factory (Japanese株式会社 メディア ファクトリー, Kabushiki - gaisha Media Fakutorī, Eng. Media Factory, Inc.) is a Japanese magazines and computer games publisher.

History

The company was founded on December 1, 1986 under the name Recruit Shuppan (リクルート 出版) as a spin-off of the book publishing business of the KK Recruit founded. The present name took over the company on 1 April 1991. For November 15, 2011 took over the Kadokawa Group Holdings to Kadokawa Shoten Publishing to all the company's shares, which Media Factory became a 100 % subsidiary.

Program and products

In addition to appearing since 1994 literary magazine Da Vinci, Media Factory published in magazines mainly Light Novels under the imprint MF Bunko J (MF文库J; since 2002) and manga magazines like Gekkan Comic Flapper (月刊 コミック フラッパー; since 1999), Gekkan Comic Alive (月刊 コミック アライブ; since 2006) and Gekkan comic Gene (月刊コミックジーン; since 2011 ). The collection belts appear here under the imprint MF Comics (MFコミックス). Many of these works were also adapted into an anime series, including:

In addition, Media Factory also produced which do not originate from our own publishing program, but the competing publishers Anime.

On Computer Games Media Factory published, among others, the games series Culdcept and Ribbit King, who also appeared outside Japan.

In addition, Media Factory operated as a music publisher for several labels: Fabtone Records for British rock music and Radtone Music for Western punk bands for the Japanese market; Goontrax; XtalRecords; and Pikachu Records for music for Pokémon franchise.
