Differences for clinical thermometer
Whereas a normal clinical thermometer the scale resolution and the digital display is frequently done in steps of 0.1 ° C, the basal temperature C can be read as a rule, in steps of 0.05 °. In liquid thermometers also the scale is limited to values of between about 36 ° C and 38 ° C. Thus, the scale is expanded and may be more easily read.
