The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA ) is the medical licensing and regulatory authority for medicines in the UK. Their responsibilities include, among other things, the operation of a licensing system for drugs prior to their market introduction and monitoring of already approved drugs on the market. She is also responsible for risk monitoring of medical devices.

The MHRA is an executive agency of the UK Department of Health (Department of Health ) and was launched in April 2003 by merger of the Medicines Control Agency (MCA ) and the Medical Devices Agency ( MDA) produced.
