Meds

Meds is the fifth studio album by the British band Placebo. On March 6, 2006, the advance single " Song To Say Goodbye " and " Because I Want You " were published. A week later the album.

History

Placebo Meds participated with the support of the French Goldfrapp producer Dimitri Tikovoi, within three months in winter 2005/2006, in the RAK studios in London. In contrast to her previous studio album, Sleeping with Ghosts, the band dispensed mostly on electronic items and made guitar, keyboard and drums in the musical foreground.

Placebo released the album as a special edition with a DVD. Then include excerpts of their concert at Wembley in 2004 and demo versions of several songs included.

In January 2007 Meds was re-released in the U.S.. On this version of the song "In the Cold Light of Morning " is missing. But there were three other songs, including the Kate Bush song " Running Up That Hill " space on the CD.

Meds reached the top of the album charts including France, Switzerland and Austria. In Germany, the album was at # 2 on the charts. In the UK there was only enough for position 7
