Meeting Areva

The meeting Areva (formerly Meeting Gaz de France) is an international major athletics competition, which is held annually at the Stade de France in Paris. Since 1999 it belonged to the series of the IAAF Golden League, which in 2010 replaced by the IAAF Diamond League.

The meeting goes back to an annually held at Stade Auguste Delaune since 1994 Track and Field Event. With the move to the Stade de France and the inclusion in the IAAF Golden League, the event took on its present form. The meeting is named since 2009 after the French energy group Areva, which replaced Gaz de France as the main sponsor and namesake.
