Meg Tilly

Meg Tilly ( born February 14, 1960 Long Beach, California, USA; actually Margaret E. Chan ) is an American actress, dancer and author. She is the sister of actress Jennifer Tilly.

Life

Meg Tilly was born in 1960 in Long Beach (California, USA) as the daughter of an American artist of Chinese origin, but grew up in British Columbia ( Canada). She learned to dance at the Connecticut Ballet Company and the Throne Dance Theatre.

In 1980 she had her breakthrough with Alan Parker's Fame - The path to glory. After an injury she had to give up dancing and focused from now on only on the spectacle. At first, she was seen in shows and movies and how Hill Street Blues, Psycho II and The Big Chill. In 1985, she landed a role in Agnes - Angel in the fire next to Jane Fonda and Anne Bancroft, for which she was awarded the Golden Globe and was nominated for an Oscar. In 1984, Tilly was considered for the role of Constanze Mozart in Milos Forman's eight -time Academy Award -winning film Amadeus.
