Megan Mullally

Megan Mullally ( born November 12, 1958 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actress and singer. The daughter of a film agent and a former model, she came early on with the show business contacts.

Career

Although she broke off her studies in acting at Northwestern University, preferring instead to study English literature, she started performing in musicals and was eventually persuaded by talent scouts to completely cancel the study to be in Los Angeles to try as a professional actress.

In her second film role she starred opposite Tom Cruise in Risky Business. In Germany, Megan Mullally has become primarily known for her roles in the television series Rock from the Sun and Will & Grace. For her portrayal of Karen Walker in Will & Grace, she won in 2000 and 2006, an Emmy and 2002-2004 three Screen Actors Guild Awards, and was nominated a total of four times for a Golden Globe Award.

After the end of Will & Grace Mullally got her own afternoon talk show titled The Megan Mullally Show. Was advertised the show with her sitcom - ego Karen Walker. Due to poor rates the show, however, was discontinued after a few months.

In addition to her acting career, she sings in a band called The Supreme Music Program.

Private life

In her first marriage she was married mid-1990s with the talent scout Michael Katcher. Since 2003 she has been married to his second marriage to actor Nick Offerman. With her husband and two poodles she currently lives in West Hollywood.

In an interview with The Advocate in 1999, she said, "I consider myself bisexual, and my philosophy is that everyone is innately ", with the emphasis on the second part of the sentence is and the first part is not in the narrow sense meant.
