Mehmet Topuz ( born September 7, 1983 in Şefaatli in the province of Yozgat, Turkey) is a Turkish football player who is under contract with Fenerbahce.

Mehmet Topuz began his career at Kayseri Yolspor. As a youth player he was obliged Kayserispor played for the youth teams. As a 18- year-old he made with his wide shots and dribbling in the Turkish 2nd league sensation. Then he rose up in the U -21 selection in Turkey. After climbing Kayserispor in the Süper Lig, he is considered one of the hopefuls for the Turkish national team. Topuz may accrue as a right back, right midfield and as an attacking midfielder.
The transfer wrangling to Fenerbahçe
On 4 June 2009 Topuz announced to switch to Beşiktaş Istanbul. His manager Metin Korkmaz stressed several times that Topuz have opted for Beşiktaş and only wanted to go to this club. He also said that with Beşiktaş so far there is only a verbal agreement and still nothing had been signed.
On June 5, 2009, however, Fenerbahçe announced on his website that you agreed with Kayserispor on an exchange and the transfer rights have acquired Mehmet Topuz. Furthermore, the club's management thanked for the successful acquisition of transfer rights in the club's management of Kayserispor and their Minister Recep Mamur. Topuz then said in an interview that he would not play for Fenerbahçe and no contract will be signed at Fenerbahçe, if necessary, he 'll play another year at Kayserispor and fulfill his contract until 2010.
Süleyman Hurma, the transfer manager responsible Kayserispor, repeated on 6 June 2009 that it had been agreed with Fenerbahçe and the transfer rights have transferred. If Topuz eager to play in Beşiktaş, Istanbul, the two clubs would have to agree. On June 13, 2009 finally signed Topuz a three -year contract with Fenerbahce. His previous statements that he would only play for Beşiktaş and not for Fenerbahçe, he revised and justified this by saying that he had been forced out of " marketing" reasons to do so. A transfer fee was not disclosed, media reports had the transfer, which included a player exchange with Gökhan Emreciksin, a total value of 11 million euros.

Mehmet Topuz made his international debut for Turkey on 1 March 2006 against the Czech Republic; he was in the starting and playing the full 90 minutes.
