Meije

The Meije with the Grand Pic

La Meije is a 3,983 meter high mountain in Pelvoux in the Dauphiné Alps, which are among the French western Alps. From the Massif des Rateau in the West is the Meije through the Breche de la Meije, separated from the Pic Gaspard in the southeast by the Breche Maximin Gaspard.

Alpinistisches

The Meije is considered one of the most difficult high peaks of the Alps. The difficulties of their ascent on the Aiguille Verte meet the who is considered one of the most challenging four peaks in the Alps.
