Meinhard Nehmer

Meinhard taker ( born January 13, 1941 in Boblin, County Ueckermuende, Pomerania ) is a former German track and field athlete and Bobsportler ( bob pilot ), who achieved his successes in the East German team. After his athletic career, he worked successfully as Bobtrainer for the U.S., Italy and Germany since 1991.

He lives with his wife Renate, with whom he has 3 children ( 2 daughters, 1 son ), in the district of the municipality Varnkevitz Putgarten in the far north of the island of Rügen in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern.

Education and work

Meinhard taker is the son of a farmer, who after the expulsion with his family as Neubauer in Varnkevitz (today district Vorpommern - Rügen) found a new existence after 1945 from hometown fell to Poland in Szczecin. After finishing school, 8th grade takers worked from 1955 in his father's business as a farmer. From 1961 to 1963 he worked in the meteorological station at Cape Arkona and was trained as a weather service technician.

During his athletic career he acquired in parallel from 1965 to 1967 the completion of the 10th grade. From 1976 to 1978 and 1980 to 1982 he studied at the School of Engineering of Agricultural Engineering in Nordhausen and graduated with the title engineer for agricultural machinery from. From 2000, Meinhard taker was responsible for the German national team as a discipline coach Bob gentlemen at the Bobsleigh and Luge Federation for Germany. After the 2006 Winter Olympics he finished his coaching career.

Sports career

Meinhard takers began to sport with the spear on the lawn in front of his parents' homestead in Varnkewitz. He was several district champion and also collected with discus and ball laurel. In 1963 he moved as a track and field athlete to forward ASK Potsdam and was as an athlete NVA member. His achievements culminated in 1971 in the Best Performance of 81.50 meters in the javelin and the bronze medal at the East German championships.
