Meinrad Lienert

Meinrad Lienert Alois ( born May 21, 1865 in Einsiedeln, † December 26, 1933 in Küsnacht ) was a Swiss dialect and local poet.

Life

Lienert was born in schwyzerischen Einsiedeln. He spent a happy childhood, attended primary school and then the high school of the monastery school. 1884 Lienert began at the University of Lausanne, the study of law, which he continued in Heidelberg and Munich and graduated in Zurich.

He then worked as a notary and Editor at Einsiedeln. In 1899, he moved to Zurich, where he held the offices of the newspaper The Limmat headed for a short time. From 1900 he was a freelance writer and has written plays and novels in addition to nature and poetry in dialect Schwyzer. In 1919 he moved again for two years as editor of the people of Zurich newspaper journalism.

Artistic creation
