Meistriliiga (ice hockey)

The Meistriliiga is the highest class of Estonia and Hockey is played since 1991. In contrast to the other Baltic States before the Estonian championship was played during de affiliation with the Soviet Union.

History

Mid-2000s, there were officially only Estonian professional team, the Tartu Big Diamonds. These did not participate in the Championship since they started in the Latvian Samsung Premjerlīga.
