Mel Judah
Mel "The Silver Fox " Judah ( born October 8, 1947 in Calcutta, India) is an Australian professional poker player, who currently lives in London.
He observed at the age of 14 years his father while playing five card draw and so learn to play poker. Prior to his poker career he worked as a hairdresser and says that he would thereby better understand the psychology of other poker players.
Career
Already at the beginning of his career, he won a bracelet at the World Series of Poker. In 1989 he won a $ 1,500 Seven Card Stud tournament. In the World Series of Poker 1997, he took his second bracelet in a $ 5,000 Seven Card Stud tournament.
Mel Judah made it to the final table of the Main Event of the World Series of Poker in 1997 and finished the victory of Stu Ungar third place.
He also won an event at the World Poker Tour. He secured the title Legends of Poker in 2003 and won a prize money of $ 579,375.
He was President of the Independent Poker Tour European Poker Masters has been produced from the Poker Channel. The tour took place only in 2006 and had the stations of London, Vienna, Paris and Dublin.
Currently are its revenue at $ 3.5 million through official poker tournaments.
