Mel Stewart
Milton Stewart ( born September 19, 1929 in Cleveland, Ohio; † 24 February 2002 in Pacifica, California ) was an American actor, musician and teacher.
Life
Milton Stewart as he 's real name, was an excellent saxophonist, he played with jazz musicians like John Coltrane and Charlie Parker in New York. Mel Stewart was married from 1977 until his death with Annie Dong. From this marriage was a daughter, Alia Dong- Stewart forth.
He was in San Francisco acting classes at San Francisco State University. Among his pupils was, among others, Danny Glover. There he founded a theater group that was called Bantu (Black Actors Now Through Unity ).
On 24 February 2002 Milton Stewart died from the effects of Alzheimer 's disease.
