Melanesian Spearhead Group

The Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG ) (English ) and Groupe Fer de lance Melanesia ( GFLM ) ( French, German Melanesian Spearhead Group ) is an organization of states with Melanesian population, which was founded in 1983 as a political union. On 23 March 2007, the agreement establishing the organization was signed. Seat is Port Vila, Vanuatu.

Members are Fiji, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, and the FLNKS from New Caledonia. Since 2010, East Timor has observer status.
