Melanie Clark Pullen

Melanie Clark Pullen ( born 1977 in Bray, County Wicklow ) is an Irish actress.

Life and career

Melanie Clark Pullen was born in 1977 in Dublin located 20 km south of Bray. She studied drama at Trinity College, Dublin, graduating in June 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts ( Drama Studies and Modern Irish ). Immediately afterwards, she was cast for the role of Mary Flaherty in the BBC soap opera EastEnders, which she left after 134 episodes in 1999. In the following years she was preferably seen in television productions. In the German-speaking world it was through their involvement in the 2011 broadcast on ZDF British detective series George Gently - The Incorruptible known. As a theater actress, she had, among other engagements at the National Theatre and at the Lyttelton Theatre.

Made for 2006 by Melanie Clark Pullen in personal union as a producer, writer and director of short film Marion agus Banphrionsa (Marion and the princess ), she received the 51.Cork Film Festival award in the category "Best Irischsprachiger film".

Melanie Clark Pullen speaks Irish and English nor very good French and German. She is married to the writer Simon Maxwell.
