Melora Walters ( born October 21, 1968 in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia ) is an American actress

Life and achievements

She was born to American parents child in Saudi Arabia. There and in the Netherlands, she grew up. Walters attended Lake Forest Academy -Ferry Hall in Lake Forest, Illinois.

The first film was mentioned in the credits Walters, was The Dead Poets Society in the year 1989. For her role in the film drama Boogie Nights (1997) she was nominated in 1998 as a member of the actor ensemble for the Screen Actors Guild Award and the Florida Film Critics Circle Award. For his role in the film drama Magnolia ( 1999), she received another nomination for a Screen Actors Guild Award and the second Florida Film Critics Circle Award in 2000.

In action thriller Desert Saints (2000) Walters played alongside Kiefer Sutherland one of the major roles. In the thriller WiseGirls (2002), she took alongside Mira Sorvino and Mariah Carey one of the main roles. For his role in the comedy Melvin Goes to Dinner (2003) she won in 2003 as a member of the actor ensemble the Copper Wing Award at the Phoenix Film Festival. In the television series Big Love, she plays since 2006, a sister in law who lives in Utah polygamist Bill Henrickson (Bill Paxton ), who is married to Barbara ( Jeanne Tripplehorn ), Nicolette ( Chloë Sevigny ) and Margene ( Ginnifer Goodwin ).

Walter married in 1990, the actor and director Christopher Scotellaro and divorced in 1994 by him. From 1996 to 2003 she was married to actor Dylan Walsh, from whom she has two children: Thomas (born 30 April 1996) and Joanna (born 19 November 1997). In June 2008, she married the cameraman Alex Vendler and filed in September 2010 for a divorce.
