Meluhha

Meluhha (also Meluhha, Meluha, Melucha or Meluchcha ) is the name of the Gujarat peninsula, taking into account the adjacent regions of North West India with inclusion of Pakistan (mountain regions of Karachi ). As a nickname Meluhha bore the name "land of carnelian ." Named in the Sumerian language according to their origin residents " Meluḫḫiter " had settled because of their trade relations including in Babylonia.
