Melville Peninsula
Geographical location
The Melville Peninsula (English Melville Peninsula ) is a large peninsula in the Canadian Arctic. Since 1999 she is part of the newly formed Nunavut, before that, she was part of Franklin District ( Northwest Territories ). The Fury and Hecla - road separates the peninsula of Baffin Island. To the east of the peninsula lies the Foxe Basin, to the west is the Gulf of Boothia.
