Melvin Holwijn

Melvin Holwijn ( born January 2, 1980 in Amsterdam) is a Dutch football player.

Holwijn went through the youth school at Ajax Amsterdam and joined the Under-19 team Stormvogels Telstar, where he aufrückte a year later in the first team in 1998.

From 2003 to 2005 he played for Greek club Iraklis Thessaloniki and then moved back to the Netherlands for SC Cambuur - Leeuwarden. In 2006 he joined again in the Dutch second division club SC Telstar from IJmuiden.

In August 2009 he moved to third division side FC Carl Zeiss Jena, where he signed a contract until the summer of 2010. After his contract was not renewed, he rejoined his former club SC Telstar and plays were again in TATA Steel Stadion im Sportpark Schoonenberg.
