Membrane structure

Under Membranbau refers to the construction of membrane materials as a building material. Membrane can thereby polyester fabric with PVC coating, fiberglass fabric with PTFE coating, PVC Foil, be ETFE foil. The application of membrane construction is mostly in the range wide-span roof, for example, sports hall, arena and indoor swimming pool. A prominent example of ETFE membrane construction is the Allianz Arena in Munich. Another example, the Water Cube in Beijing, is famous for an entire shell of the multi-layer ETFE cushions.
