Memoirs of Eminent Monks

The Gaoseng zhuan (Chinese高僧传, Pinyin Gāosēng Zhuan, biographies of famous monks ') of Huijiao are a collection of biographies of Buddhist monks in China from the year 519, ranging from the introduction of Buddhism in China to the Northern Wei Dynasty.

The first part was translated into French by Robert Shih (1968).
