Memorial (liturgy)

An optional memorial, in liturgical books or calendars usually with "G ", abbreviated, is in the liturgical calendar of the Catholic Church, the term for the celebration of saints or events in the Mass and in the Liturgy of the Hours. Unlike not obligatory memorials consideration in the liturgy is mandatory. Anniversaries are displaced in a given year, if they coincide with a Sunday feast or solemnity.
