Men's football at the 2007 South Pacific Games

In the XIII. South Pacific Games in Samoa in 2007 two competitions were held in football. On the men's tournament, ten, at the Tournament of Women, which was held for the second time after 2003, nine teams participate. All matches were played in the period from 25 August to 7 September 2007 at Toleafoa JS Blatter Soccer Stadium in Faleata near the capital Apia.

Men Tournament

The men's tournament also served as 1st round of Oceania qualifying for the FIFA World Cup 2010 and as a qualification for the football Ozeanienmeisterschaft 2008. Was played in two groups a five team. The first and second position in their group reached the semi-finals. The teams on the medals qualified for the Ozeanienmeisterschaft or the 2nd round of World Cup qualifiers.

Tuvalu was only an associate member of the OFC and not a FIFA member and would not be able to qualify for the World Cup. It was the first time that a non- FIFA members took part in a World Cup qualifier.

Women's tournament

The women's tournament also served to determine the opponent for New Zealand in Play-Off of Ozeanienzone for the women's Olympic football tournament in China in 2008. It was played in two groups a five or four teams. The first and second position in their group reached the semi-finals.
