Menara gardens

The Menara Gardens ( Jardin de la Menara French ) is a public urban park in Marrakech.

The approximately 100 -acre Agdal garden is laid out around a central water basin, which is surrounded by olive tree plantations. The olive grove is irrigated by a water pool in the middle with one of there outgoing widely branched duct system.

It is located about three kilometers outside the city wall and on the weekends a popular destination for locals.

The garden was created 1156-1157 under the Almohad ruler Abd al - Mu'min. Since 1985, the Majorelle Garden is situated, along with the historic center of Marrakech and the Agdal Gardens on the list of World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
