Menarini

The pharmaceutical company Menarini was founded in 1886 and has its headquarters in Florence. Worldwide, the Group 2012 (2006) 16,640 ( 12,451 ) employees and posted sales of 3.212 ( 2.503 ) billion €. The Menarini Group is the largest Italian pharmaceutical company. CEO of Menarini is Lucia Aleotti.

In 1915 the company moved from Naples to Florence.

In 1976, the department " Menarini Diagnostics" was founded, which currently has 13 subsidiaries. Since 1978, the Menarini Group has its own research department (R & D - Research & Development ) in 750 people are currently active.
