Mendig (Verbandsgemeinde)

The community association Mendig is an administrative unit in the form of a local authority in the district of Mayen -Koblenz in Rhineland- Palatinate. The municipality includes the city of Mendig and four independent local communities, the administrative headquarters are in the eponymous city of Mendig.

Geography

The municipality is situated on the Mendig Laacher See in the Eifel and, together with the Association of Municipalities Vordereifel, Pellenz and Brohltal the Volcanic Eifel region, one of three sub-regions in which the volcanic Eifel region is divided.
