Menon (cookbook author)

Menon was the pseudonym of a popular French cookbook author from the 18th century with an unknown biography of in the middle of the 18th century, numerous cookbooks and cooking instructions - written - even taking into account the food science. They are considered as early standard works of the French art of cooking and the Civil kitchen.

His most famous work is La Cuisinière bourgeoise (, Bourgeois cook '), which appeared with royal permission in 1746 still under the ancien régime.
