Mercury Lynx (1982 )

The Mercury Lynx was a 1981 to 1987 by the U.S., to the Ford company owned automotive manufacturer Mercury -built model of the lower middle class.

The Lynx broke the Mercury Bobcat from; His successor was the Mercury Tracer. Main competitors were Chevrolet Chevette, Dodge Omni and Plymouth Horizon. The coupe version of the Lynx was called Mercury LN7.

Model history

Beginning of 1981 presented the new Mercury Lynx, which is largely identical parallel model of the Ford Escort. As this was the Lynx offered as a three - and ( from 1982) five-door hatchback and five-door station wagon. From escort to the Lynx differed primarily by a revised grille.
