Mercury-Redstone 1A

The mission Mercury - Redstone 1A was held on 19 December 1960 and was the replacement for the failed mission Mission Mercury - Redstone 1 This uses the same capsule was used. The mission lasted 15 minutes and 45 seconds and was successful. The capsule was recovered 15 minutes after splashdown in the Atlantic Ocean from helicopters.
