The Mersey River is a river in the north of the Australian state of Tasmania.

River

The river arises in Lake Meston on the south slopes of Mount Rogoona in the center of the Walls of Jerusalem National Park. The lake leaves the river to the southwest and then describes a three-quarter circle on the west, north and east around Mount Rogoona around. Then he turns to the north and flows through the reservoirs Lake Rowallan and Lake Parangana. Approx. 5 km north of the settlement Liena turns the Mersey River - distracted by the Gog Range - his run east to the eastern end of this mountain, where it turns north again. From there it flows to the north - northwest and flows near Devonport in the Bass Strait.
