Meryl Cassie

Meryl Danielle Cassie ( born April 2, 1984 in George, Cape Province, South Africa ) is a New Zealand actress and singer with African and German roots. She is known for her portrayal of Ebony in the futuristic cult series The Tribe, which has a diehard fan base in Germany. In addition, she has also appeared in Xena, Hercules, the New Zealand soap opera Shortland Street and the Revelations series, which was produced by the same production company as The Tribe, participated.

Cassie spent her first three years of life in South Africa, because of apartheid, however, she emigrated with her family to New Zealand.
