Meshack Asare

Meshack Asare ( born 1945 ) is a children's book author who is from Ghana, now center of his life, however, has in London.

Life

Meshack Asare studied art at the School of Art (College of Art) in Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti region. After graduating, he decided, as a teacher in Ghana to be active ( 1967-1979 ). During his time as a teacher, he began to write children's books, and had his first experience with the illustration of children's books. Among his works from this period includes the translated into many languages ​​and by UNESCO with the title Best picture book from Africa winning work Tawai Goes to Sea.
