Mesosiderite

The Mesosiderite belong to the group of stone -iron meteorites. They consist of a disordered structure of nickel-iron and silicate breccia, which in turn are composed of pyroxene, plagioclase and olivine.

The presence of breccias suggests a larger impact event. Perhaps the Mesosiderite incurred in the collision of two large differentiated asteroids. Spectroscopic studies indicate that it might be in one of the asteroid Vesta to because of these celestial bodies has a large impact craters.
