Messala (crater)

Messala is a big crater on the northeastern edge of the moon 's front panel. It is located northeast of Geminus and south of Schumacher. The crater wall is severely eroded.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 according to the Jewish astronomers and astrologers Māšā'allāh Ibn - Atari.
