Messier Channel
Geographical location
The Messier Channel (Spanish Canal Messier ) is a strait in southern Chile between the island of Wellington and the mainland. It was named after Charles Messier.
The channel is one of the most important sea routes Patagonia. It is located in the XI. Aysen Region of General Carlos Ibáñez del Campo. Already 6000 years ago traveled from the tribe of Kawesqar to the 20th century, who had settled on its shores.
