Mestlin
Mestlin is a municipality in the district of Ludwigsburg pleasure Parchim in Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ). It is administered by the Office Goldberg Mildenitz based in the city of Goldberg. Mestlin is known as Stork and formerly socialist model village.

Geography and transport
The village Mestlin located just south of the lake district at the intersection of roads Crivitz Goldberg and Parchim -Sternberg 34 km east of Schwerin and 20 kilometers north of Parchim. The nearest small town is making eleven kilometers east location Goldberg.

History
The community Mestlin was first mentioned in 1312. The name is of Slavic origin and means as much as " bridge village". Also in the 14th century, today's deserted Gloueke mentioned close of Mestlin.
Mestlin was until the secularization in the possession of the monastery Dobbertin. Until the Second World War Dobbertin belonged to the Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg ( Schwerin ). Since 1918 Mestlin was a village in the state of Mecklenburg. After 1945, it was only in the state of Mecklenburg and then from 1952 to 1990 in the district of Schwerin.
In GDR times Mestlin was extended to 1957 to a socialist model village. The two-storey 57 -meter long and 28 meter wide culture house was built from 1954 to 1957 in the center of the new village and was located since 1996 in a desolate state. The club was founded in 2008 local monument culture Mestlin eV is committed to the preservation of the listed building ensembles and a revival of cultural offerings in the community.
